BIOGRAPHY

Jonas Gross is a pioneer of pan flute music and a renowned pop pan flutist from Switzerland who has created a distinctive crossover sound blending pop, rock, and pan flute. His musical journey began at the tender age of seven when he heard the enchanting melody of a street musician and immediately became captivated by the allure of the pan flute's sound.

Throughout his career, Jonas Gross has continuously learned and evolved musically. Inspired by greats like Richard Clayderman, Lindsey Stirling, and David Garrett, he participated in a talent competition through which he was discovered by a Swiss label at just 16 years old. This was followed by his debut album and numerous performances alongside artists like Edward Simoni and Lisa Stoll.

Crucial to the development of his contemporary sound today was his collaboration with the renowned composer and bandleader Christoph Walter. After a successful joint performance at the Basel Tattoo, Christoph took the young pan flutist under his wing, introducing him to the fascinating world of crossover. This path led Jonas Gross to performances at the prestigious KKL Luzern, the release of two albums ("The Wooden Taste" and "True Colors"), and an extremely successful church concert tour.

With his music, Jonas Gross appeals to a broad audience, from teenagers to the older generations. His multifaceted sound is not only a tribute to the great crossover artists who came before him but also a testament to his own creative vision and passion for the pan flute.
